A number of countries in the Asia-Pacific region will enter the world’s largest free trade deal. The signing will take place on Sunday at the ongoing virtual summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) will cover all 10 ASEAN members, and several of its neighbors, including China. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has delivered a speech via video link on the two sides’ growing investment and trade despite the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. Combating the coronavirus was also a key topic.
